"Works okay, but feels a bit underwhelming"
It works fine, so I can’t say it’s a bad product, but for the price I expected more features. I spent way too much time and energy trying to figure out if I was missing something, only to realize it just doesn’t offer much beyond the basics. Kind of frustrating

"Felt like a bait and switch"
I went through an authorized dealer thinking I’d get proper help and support, but the whole thing felt like a bait and switch. Once I actually needed assistance, the dealer was basically useless, and Denon just kept passing me around instead of resolving anything. Really frustrating experience.
"Be Careful With the Firmware Update"
Just a heads up for anyone thinking about updating the firmware — I did it, and it pretty much broke everything. The app still crashes constantly, and now the whole thing is way more frustrating to use than before. I’d wait until they fix these issues before updating.

I was just trying to place my order, but the payment failed twice for some reason and then the page took forever to load. It was really frustrating and made the whole checkout feel more annoying than it needed to be.

"Sounded good, but didn’t last"
My Denon receiver sounded really nice at first, but after just a few months, it started cutting out, which was frustrating. For the price, I expected better, especially from Denon

"Slow start, but they got it sorted"
I reached out to denon because I was having trouble with my receiver setup. At first I was annoyed because it took a few days to hear back, and the first response felt kind of generic, like a copy-paste answer. But then the next person I talked to was actually helpful and walked me through what I needed to do. Once it was fixed, I felt a lot better about the whole thing. Not a terrible experience, just slower than I was hoping for

"Display is really hard to read"
The sound is fine, no real complaints there, but the display is just so dim and tiny. I can barely make it out from my couch, even with normal lighting in the room. For the price, I expected better... it’s just kind of annoying.

"Pretty good gear, but stock can be hit or miss"
I’m a fan of Denon stuff overall, and the gear is solid, but the item I wanted was out of stock for a while. The site didn’t really give much info on when it would be back, so I ended up checking a few times before I could finally order. Not a huge deal, just annoying

"I gave it 4 stars mostly because of..."
I gave it 4 stars mostly because of the design. The Denon gear has that simple, clean look without being too flashy, which I really like. The buttons do feel a little crowded, though, and you notice it once you start using it more. Still, it fits nicely on my TV stand and definitely doesn’t look cheap.
"Promo discount wasn’t worth the hassle"
I went to denon.com because they had a promo advertised, and I thought it would be a quick checkout. Instead, Denon made the whole thing more confusing than it needed to be once I got to the cart.
The discount didn’t apply automatically, and then one of the items I picked was apparently excluded, even though it looked like it was part of the deal. I ended up clicking around way too much just to figure out what actually qualified.
I’m sure the products themselves are fine, but the promo setup felt misleading. For a brand like Denon, I expected them to make the offer clear instead of making customers do the work.

"Solid and easy to use"
My Denon receiver has been good so far. It connects to WiFi and Bluetooth quickly, and AirPlay has worked nicely too. I did have one time where it didn’t show up on my phone, but a quick restart fixed it. Overall, it’s a useful, solid receiver that does what I need, even if it’s not totally perfect
"Docs are decent, but I wish they were clearer"
I picked up a Denon receiver and used Denon while getting everything set up. The manual was easy enough to find, and a lot of the sections did help, but I wouldn’t say I checked every single page in detail. From what I used, some of the steps felt like they were spread out in random places.
I had to look up a couple things more than once, mostly around the app settings and HDMI setup. It’s possible I missed a cleaner guide somewhere, but based on what I found, it wasn’t as straightforward as I expected. Everything works now, so it’s not a huge complaint, I just think the docs could be written a bit more simply.
"Stays surprisingly cool"
I use my Denon receiver pretty much every day, and so far heat really hasn’t been an issue. It does get a little warm, which I kind of expected, but nothing close to the “too hot to touch” feeling I had with my old receiver. I also haven’t noticed any fan noise, which is nice. I just made sure to leave some breathing room around it, and it’s been running totally fine. Overall, I’m really happy with it.

It was easy enough to use and the remote works fine for what I needed. Some of the buttons are a bit small and close together, though, so I’ve hit the wrong one a couple times

"Warranty seems fine, but I wish the details were easier to understand"
My denon has been working perfectly fine so far, so I don’t really have any major complaints about the product itself. The only thing that was a little frustrating was trying to figure out the warranty details. It’s not that the coverage seems bad or unfair, because from what I could tell it’s actually reasonable, but it just wasn’t super clear right away what was covered and what wasn’t. I had to spend more time than I expected looking through the information and then waiting to hear back from support. They did eventually respond and helped clear things up, so in the end it was okay, but I do think the warranty info could be written in a simpler, more straightforward way.

"Good once it works, but the setup felt unfairly frustrating"
I bought this from Denon thinking the setup would be quick and easy, but it was more of a hassle than it should’ve been. The app kept losing my speaker, and I had to restart the whole process a few times, which got old fast. The instructions were decent, but they weren’t clear enough for someone who just wants to get the thing working without a mini tech project. Once it finally connected, it worked fine, so the product itself isn’t bad. But for the price, Denon really should do better. It doesn’t feel right to charge a premium and then make customers fight through a clunky setup experience.

"Clear Sound, Honestly"
Yeah, the sound is really clear... like, way better than I expected. Everything comes through nicely, and I didn’t have to mess around with settings or anything.

"Feels premium, though I’m oddly picky about it"
I bought this from denon.com the build quality really impressed me. It’s got some weight to it, which I like, even though I usually complain when gear is too heavy to move around. The buttons feel firm, nothing rattles or feels cheap, and the knobs turn really smoothly. I’ve had audio equipment before that looked nice but felt kind of plasticky once you touched it, and this is definitely not that. It looks clean on the shelf too, though part of me wishes it stood out a little more. Overall I’m really happy with it so far and it feels like something that’ll last.

"Not what I expected for the price"
I picked up this Denon receiver thinking it would cover the basic stuff easily, but it feels like a lot of simple features are either hidden in weird menus or just missing altogether. For what I was charged, I expected a much smoother experience. I’m not really worried about updates or anything like that, it just feels like the core feature set should’ve been better from the start. Disappointing

The order showed up really quickly, which was great (always a nice surprise). The return process took a couple days longer than I expected, but overall it wasn’t a huge issue.
